My latest story, a novella about a thief and a spy, is now available on Smashwords. The title is “The Cooper’s Hawk Mission”, and the cover photo is of a real Cooper’s Hawk taken in my backyard. That is a clever way to avoid paying royalties for a stock photo. So my next book might be titled “The Bland Selfie Manifesto”. Hahahahhah …
If you want to check it out, the link is here:
Most people, even non-Christians, have heard of the Christian concept of The Rapture, where all the faithful are transported away from Earth to Heaven and the non-believers are left behind to cope with various plagues and monsters.
But suppose it is the other way around, where the close-minded, intolerant, and science denying are extracted like abcessed teeth and the rational are left to carry on?
Suppose the whole concept is some elaborate filter to identify and mark for removal those that are unwilling to use the brain the Creator gave them?
It’s something to ponder.
I have finished my latest book, Backlash, and uploaded it to Smashwords. It is, frankly, not my best work. But I was done writing it, and I am tired of fooling with it. I want to get on to something finer. However, do not let that dissuade you from buying it and reading it.
It is about a recently retired military man who accidentally gets involved with a drug gang and has to go underground to escape their wrath after he testifies. The Backlash of the title refers to the surprise they get when they come after him.
